JOB PURPOSE |
Coordinating and optimizing fuel transportation resources with customer's needs. |

ESSENTIAL RESULTS |
Manage the effectiveness of the dispatch team by: Assigning duties and tasks as necessary. Evaluating performance of duties. Training each associate for personal growth. Training each associate to meet job requirements as the positions evolve. Monitoring driver hours to assist them in meeting DOT hours guidelines.
Oversee the quality and effectiveness of the fuel desk and customer service teams by: Monitoring all planning boards. Initiating software changes to enhance operations. Scheduling work and vacation days for dispatchers and customer service associates. Documenting and applying specific needs for each customer to the dispatch software.
Assist billing, safety, terminal managers and other members of management by: Maintaining communications with all departments regularly. Researching inquiries for each department as needs arise. Scheduling drivers and/or customer deliveries to accommodate each department's goals and requirements.
Take advantage of revenue opportunities as they arise by: Identifying trends of our customers and communicating these trends with sales and operations management. Communicating the needs of customers to the operations management team. Analyzing and identifying traffic patterns that create optimum utilization of company resources in all terminals.
Demonstrate superior leadership to subordinates and positively influence other teams by: Giving clear direction Inspecting what is expected Striving to work "one level up", and requiring the same from subordinates Learning new skills Living and modeling our "POP Leadership" skillsets

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
2 years in the motor carrier industry Fuel transportation, mobile communication, and/or supervisory experience will be considered enhanced qualities. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently Ability to speak Spanish preferred High School Diploma or GED Good communication skills Working knowledge of business applications software Solid geographical and map reading ability are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS |
Sitting, walking, standing, speaking, and listening Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects. Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, reading and visual inspection. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. |
